Nori (Seaweed) Soup

1 pound ground pork (may try other meat)
8 cups water
1 cup chicken stock (see our chicken stock recipe)
8 oz sliced water chestnuts
3 sheets nori (dry seaweed), broken into pieces.
1 egg, beaten
4 green onions, chopped
1 teaspoon sesame oil
Salt to taste

1. In a Dutch oven over medium-high heat, cook the ground pork until browned. Drain off excess fat, and add water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium, and simmer uncovered for 15 minutes.
 2. Add the chicken stock, water chestnuts and nori. Stir in the egg, and season with salt. Remove from heat, and mix in the green onions and sesame oil and serve. 


Serves 6
